Deluxe Beatle Bass
The H5000 Deluxe Beatle Bass is truly an
exquisite, top of the line, hand-crafted, work of art. In our
opinion, one of the best instruments currently made. The beautiful
detail of the deluxe Beatle Bass is apparent from the top down. You
will find the finest hand-carved German Spruce on the top and the sides
and highly flamed African Maple graces the back of this exceptional
instrument. The finish is a beautiful deep natural topped with a
lustrous lacquer allowing for the beauty of the wood to be
displayed. Check out the zebra quilt on the back of this
example. This is typical of most Deluxe Basses.

The pictures fail to display
the quality of materials used, but nonetheless, giving an example of the
quality of the woods used to build these hand-crafted instruments.
The body moldings are made from a
combination of accented dark wood grain and perloid. The rich black
color of the pick guard and white accents help bring the instrument to
life.

The zebra quilt on the back of
a Deluxe
Bass is typical of the appearance of all the Deluxe
Basses.
The control panel is accented
by the dark wood grain. 24K gold graces the tail piece, strap
button, staple pickups, and tuner mechanisms.
The deluxe has a one piece
neck made of the finest European Maple with a bound fret board of ebony
featuring diamond-shaped mother of pearl inlay as fret markers. The head stock
also features mother of pearl inlay. The neck is slightly thinner by
1/8". This is compared with the V62 H500 Bass. This slightly
thinner neck is preferred by some players accustomed to the feel of the
popular j bass. The neck is a 3/4 scale or 30 inch.
As for tuners, they are
similar to the original 63 H50. Individual tuning keys are standard, a
departure from the strip tuners used in earlier models.
Responsive and light
weight , the deluxe is truly a pleasure to play.
As with all basses sold by Hofner
Heaven, Hard-shell case is included.
Left handed models are available as well
as custom orders. All Hofner Heaven basses come with the traditional
Höfner brand flat wound strings exclusively made for Höfner by a famous
German String Manufacturer.
