Vintage '63
Bass
The beautiful detail of the V63 Beatle
Bass is apparent from the top down. Named for the year the most
familiar version of the Violin Bass was Popularized, the vintage '63
captures its Characteristic tone - deep, warm, and reminiscent of a
full-size string bass. Built to be as durable as its legacy.
You will find the finest hand
carved German Spruce on the top and sides and highly Flamed German Maple
graces the back of this exceptional instrument. The finish is a beautiful
deep robust sunburst topped with a lustrous lacquer.
The pictures fail to display the quality
of the materials used, but nonetheless, giving an example of the flamingness
of the wood used to build these hand-crafted
instruments.

|
Exact replica of
the '63 model Violin Bass. The narrow neck and medium
scale length of 30" (76 cm) make for optimum playability.
Perloid control panels and
pick guard, well as white body molding help accent the beautiful deep
robust sunburst finish.
Two of the venerable "staple" pickups are
standard. These are an exact replication of the pickups used on H500
basses in the early sixties, before the change to the less desirable bar
style pickups of the later sixties and onward. |

The V63 has three
piece neck made of maple, beach, and maple, offering incredible
stability and striking appearance. The neck is slightly thinner by
1?8th" from the top of the unbound rosewood fret board to the rear
center of the back radius. This is compared with the V62 H500
bass. This slightly thinner neck is preferred by some players
accustomed to the feel of the popular J bass. The neck is a 3/4
scale or 30 inches.

As for Tuners, they are just like the original 63 H500. Individual
tuning keys are standard, a departure from the strip tuners used on
earlier models.
Left handed models are available as well as custom orders. All
Hofner Heaven basses come with the traditional
Höfner
brand flat wound strings exclusively made for
Höfner by
famous German string manufacturer.
As with all basses sold by Hofner Heaven, Bullet case is included.
